Singapore’s Digerati are surely in the know that this week is a HEAVY
week for all of the Digital Media world here – with events,
conferences, parties, roundtables and people coming to town.
Web Wednesday is hosting a party on the eve of ad: tech tonight to kick
off many events. Venue is the Beer Market at Clarke Quay. A speaker
from the Big Apple, Tim O’Connors who leads a sales team in New York
for Admeld, the yield-optimization, supply side platform (SSP) will be
speaking on ‘The Rise of Real Time Bidding (RTB)’.
A revolution that is fundamentally changing the online display
advertising market is underway. At the heart of this new digital
economy is Real Time Bidding, an auction environment that allows
publishers’ impressions to count towards their bottom line and ensures
advertisers’ messages reach precisely the right people. RTB comes at a
time when online ad spend is shifting heavily towards display. Tim’s
presentation will cover a brief history of how the online advertising
eco-system developed from the proliferation of ad networks to the rise
of data management platforms and programmatic buying and selling.
