Since the 1980s, Yeo’s has been a loyal sponsor of the National Day Parade and every year, the company is passionate about giving back to society. This year, they are introducing the reinvention of recycling through art, to redefine the way people view recycling and trash collection. The beautiful sculptures made from 100% recycled materials are created by renowned Singaporean artist Akira Takahashi to reflect Singapore’s heritage and commemorate Singapore’s 46th birthday.
At the same time, it is also initiating a charity project with CARE Singapore, a registered charity that reaches out to at-risk children and youth. Children and youth are the future of our nation and Yeo’s wants to encourage the public to pledge donations that will go towards programmes to nurture them and help them discover their self-worth and unique talents.
“Yeo’s Cares for Singapore – Recycling with a Heart” will be launched by Minister for the Environment and Water Resources, Dr Vivian Balakrishnan this afternoon at 2.30pm at The Fullerton.
