IKEA, recently named “Advertiser of the Year” at the Cannes Lions Festival of Creativity, just yesterday announced the appointment of McCann NY as global agency of record for their iconic IKEA catalogue.
McCann NY will work closely with ICOM, IKEA’s in-house communications team based at IKEA’s headquarters in Älmhult, Sweden.
The assignment will focus on the re-invention of the IKEA catalogue, enhancing it with technology and storytelling, to become a critical and integrated platform for the IKEA eco-system, including re-imaging the store environment to include new technologies. Together, they will develop a global integrated campaign to support the launch.
Today, the IKEA catalogue is delivered to almost 210 million homes across the globe, making the IKEA catalogue the world’s most widely distributed printed matter.
