The Philippines’ largest national carrier Cebu Pacific has appointed independent strategic communications consultancy, ICON International Communications as its public relations agency for the Singapore market to cover media relations and support CEB’s marketing initiatives in Singapore.
“Singapore is one of our major international growth markets. We will be working with ICON’s specialist travel team to help differentiate us from our key competitors, and communicate our trademark low fares and fun culture,” said Candice Iyog, Vice President for Marketing and Distribution, Cebu Pacific. The airline is steadily increasing its brand awareness and market share. It currently serves three direct flights from Singapore to the Philippines, with 32 weekly flights from Singapore to Manila, and daily flights from Singapore to both Cebu and Clark.
It also operates the most extensive route network in the Philippines with 34 domestic destinations such as Boracay, Coron and Palawan. From the Philippines, it is the only low-cost carrier operating to all three major North Asian markets of Korea, Japan and China.
