CozyCot.com this week launched a ‘live’ international celebrity news
feed service on its popular website. Visitors to Singapore’s No.1
women’s lifestyle website can now keep track of their favourite
celebrities while indulging in their favourite activity on
CozyCot.com.
The news feed has multiple images and contents per story, and is
delivered “as it happens” and relevant to the fast changing pace of
celebrities’ lifestyles. CozyCot is most likely the first Asian
women’s site to supply international celebrity news to a community of
Asian readers. “We don’t see any other players in this field in this
part of the world; though there are similar entertainment news sites
in the US, our content is not identical,” says Ms Yee, founder of
CozyCot. “Furthermore I think our community of Asian members will
enjoy checking the news and gossip in the familiar surroundings of
their regular website.”
A dedicated team of reporters worldwide will generate more than 60
stories daily – showbiz news, interviews and music news – ensuring
that breaking news is delivered within minutes through a feed service
to subscribers. With photographers attending high-profile celebrity
events – eg., premieres, parties, and gigs – the site will release a
treasure trove of around 3,000 images every day. Along with extensive
paparazzi material sourced from around the globe, CozyCot members
(‘cotters’) will be able to see their favourite celebrity out and
about on location filming / preparing for shows, or in their free time
shopping, even which restaurant they just had lunch at.
To quickly get to their favourite celebrity, readers can subscribe to
news that is of particular interest to them. Fans can register for
alerts on breaking news or photos of their favourite celebrity. For
example, Brad Pit fans will get email alerts when a story or photo is
newly published on the site.
“This personalized news content is unique and will appeal to our
‘cotters’,” says Ms Yee. “Fans will not have to search for news of
their favourite celebrity; we will have up-to-the-minute news from
around the world and the very latest photos on the site, often before
they are published in celebrity magazines or newspapers or anywhere
else on the internet!”
There will also be photographs which will be updated every weekday,
covering events like: Milan Fashion Week Spring/Summer 2012, The
Emmys, London Fashion Week, Mercedes-Benz Spring 2012, Fashion’s Night
Out September 2011, The 68th Venice Film Festival, The 36th Annual
Toronto International Film Festival, MTV’s ‘Jersey Shore’ Season 4.
Being an Asian website, comments and conversations will, hence, be
Asian-centric, as members share the latest gossip with their friends
through the CozyCot site. To encourage interaction, members
accumulate points for participating and sharing the news. These points
can be redeemed for full-size products at the CozyCot retail outlet at
Orchard Central.
