TBWA\ Group Singapore has moved.
After ten years as Maxwell Market’s most supportive neighbour, the 190-strong agency has moved to another iconic building: a 24,000-square feet former school in Alexandra.
The single storey building – 991C Alexandra Road – was the school’s technical workshop, complete with 30-foot ceilings and skylights that fill the building with natural light.
A neighbouring 6,000 square feet building in the same compound houses E-Graphics, the Group’s specialist production unit.
“We’ve had ten very special years at 5 Kadayanallur Street and we loved being in the centre of the action in Chinatown,” says Philip Brett, TBWA’s President for South and Southeast Asia. “In looking for a new home to accommodate our growing numbers, we were mindful that we have always been in buildings that have tremendous character and that was our number one priority in making the move. We wanted to find a building of equal character, a great creative space, and resist the ‘tower block’ syndrome that constrains creativity. We have finally found that in Alexandra.
