Celebrate Earth Hour in Unity
Organisers of the annual Earth Hour campaign announced that at least
300 corporate organisations and thousands of Singaporeans are set to
participate in WWF Singapore’s fourth Earth Hour this year.
Singaporeans willingly took a stand when the nation embraced its first
Earth Hour in 2009. Three years on, Earth Hour, WWF’s global
initiative to inspire support for actions to combat climate change,
has become a key fixture on Singapore’s annual calendar of
well-celebrated events.
Organised by WWF Singapore and supported this year by The Orchard Road
Business Association (OBRA), Earth Hour 2012 will take place this
Saturday, 31 March 2012 at 8.30pm at Ngee Ann City, Civic Plaza. Dr.
Vivian Balakrishnan, Minister for the Environment and Water Resources,
will grace the official Earth Hour event in Singapore as thousands
stand united in ‘the World’s largest campaign for the planet’ and the
push for a more sustainable future.
