Close to 4,900 entries across 16 award categories including new
Branded Content & Entertainment and Creative Effectiveness
A record number of Spikes Asia entries have been submitted this year
totalling 4,860 from 23 countries. The largest creative communications
festival in Asia Pacific, which kicks off this Sunday in Singapore, is
also set to welcome industry professionals from 27 countries who, over
two insightful days of learning, networking and celebrations, will
have the opportunity to view Asia Pacific’s creative excellence in
advertising and communications.
With an overall 33% increase versus last year, the categories which
have shown the highest increase are PR, Design, Mobile, Film Craft,
Direct and Promo & Activation. The top countries participating are
Australia (703 entries), followed by India (694), Japan (594),
Singapore (524), China (448) and Thailand (411).
The fantastic line-up of speakers at Spikes Asia this year includes
Kentaro Kimura, Co-Chief Executive Officer Executive Creative Director
and Account Planner at Hakuhodo Kettle, Kitty Lun, Chair of Lowe China
and Nick Brien, Chairman, Chief Executive Officer, McCann Worldgroup
and Oscar-winning Director Ruby Yang.
Spike nights are exciting too. Facebook is sponsoring the Opening
Night Cocktails on the 16th, while Networking After Dark on Monday
17th offers delegates unique insights into 6 agencies, whilst they
build up their contacts and enjoy partying. On the 18th, Asia
Pacific’s creative industry practitioners unite as the Spikes Asia
Award winners are announced live at the spectacular Awards Ceremony
held at the Grand Theatre, Marina Bay Sands.
Award celebrations continue at the Official After Party at Avalon
nightclub, South Crystal Pavilion, Marina Bay Sands. Avalon sits in
the Crystal Pavilion nestled amongst the glittering waters of Marina
Bay and the panoramic view of the Singapore skyline, a perfect setting
to celebrate the Spikes Asia Award Winners!
