Boosts management team with Warren Newbert as Chief Financial Officer
Independent digital marketing agency, Greenlight, has appointed former BBC Studios and Post Productions’ Commercial and Finance Director, Warren Newbert, as chief financial officer (CFO).
The appointment closely follows significant successes recorded by Greenlight in 2011/12, in which its year-on-year income has seen a significant 29% growth to reach almost £9 million as the agency’s operations grow in scale and complexity.
Newbert has over ten years’ worth of experience working within media services companies and a proven track record in building and growing businesses. Prior to joining the BBC in 2009, he was CFO at Gravity Media Group, an outside broadcast company that completed a management buy-out (MBO) out of a listed plc and acquired businesses from ITV and Seven Network. He trained with Grant Thornton and spent four years with the corporate finance practice advising a number of entrepreneurial businesses on acquisitions and fund raising.
Today, Greenlight services a diverse portfolio of cross-vertical B2C and B2B clients in 11 countries. They include Santander, Reiss, Boots, Millennium & Copthorne Hotels as well as long standing and established global players.
Greenlight’s offering spans search engine optimisation (SEO), Paid Media, Social Media, Retargeting and Display, and a growing Software-as-a-Service (SaaS) business in the form of Hydra, a cloud platform technology combining real-time insights from across all Search channels (natural, paid and social), that turns unstructured ‘big search data’ into insightful and actionable intelligence for brands and marketers.
