Dentsu Sports Asia has been selected as Sponsorship Management Consultant for the upcoming Games in Myanmar, a major breakthrough for its sports marketing business, confirming its official appointment for the 27thSEA Games to be held in the country later this year. The agreement was signed between the Ministry of Finance and Revenue of The Republic of the Union of Myanmar and Dentsu Sports Asia.
The biennial multi-sport SEA Games will be staged in Myanmar from December 11 – 22, 2013. Host nation Myanmar and 10 countries from Southeast Asia (Brunei, Cambodia, Indonesia, Laos, Malaysia, Philippines, Singapore, Thailand, Timor Leste and Vietnam) will participate in the Olympic-style extravaganza featuring over 30 sports. The last time Myanmar hosted the SEA Games was in 1969.
