MMA Forum Vietnam 2014 and SMARTIES™ Vietnam 2014 announced
The Mobile Marketing Association (MMA) currently leads the growth of mobile marketing and its associated technologies in Singapore, India, China and Indonesia. The launch of the Vietnam chapter marks MMA’s commitment to building and implementing mobile marketing best practices in the country.
During the launch event, Tran Thi Lan Thanh, Chief Executive Officer of Goldsun Focus Media, a regional premier MMA member and first founding member of the Vietnam chapter, and Jacob Kvist, Chief Executive Officer, GroupM Vietnam, were named co-chairs of MMA Vietnam.
Commenting on the launch, Rohit Dadwal, Managing Director of MMA in APAC : “One of the fastest-growing smartphone markets, Vietnam recorded a 156% surge in smartphone volume in the first three quarters of 2013 and is a significant market for mobile advertising. The presence of MMA in Vietnam will be a critical factor in helping quadruple the country’s mobile marketing industry revenues by 2015, encouraging development and interaction among players in the ecosystem, which include local providers of telecommunication services, advertising and media agencies, marketers, brands and technology companies.”
In addition to the launch of the Vietnam chapter, MMA also announced the 2014 return of its two flagship events, MMA Forum Vietnam and SMARTIES™ Vietnam Awards. The MMA Forum (MMAF) Vietnam, is the biggest mobile marketing event in Vietnam and takes place in October 2014, welcoming major brands, mobile specific and traditional agencies, operators and technology enablers from across the mobile marketing landscape.
Delegates will come together to connect and learn from experts and peers in the industry on best practice in mobile marketing and the future of the industry.The event will be followed by the eighth iteration of SMARTIES™ Vietnam, which aims to recognize innovation, creativity and leadership in mobile marketing across a range of categories while building a library of case studies for mobile marketers to reference.
