Moove Media Hails Young Kids 2014
Christmas wishes do come true. At least for Paul Seet.
The 11-year-old student, who loves to draw, will see his winning art piece at the “Moove Media Hails Young Kids” art competition held on 21 November 2014, displayed at SBS Transit’s train stations come December.
He is one of three participants in his age category (8 to 12 years old) to have their art pieces selected. The second and third spots went to a pair of nine-year-olds, Renee Chng and Aidan Lui. Another three, belonging to the four- to seven-year-old category, were Nathan Yeo, 6; Tommy Shen, 7; and Zheng Jing Hao, 4. Together, the six winners received prizes worth a combined value of over $10,000, sponsored by Moove and Canon Singapore Pte Ltd. These include a Moove Cow trophy, four Legoland tickets, travel vouchers and Canon PIXMA printers. All six winning art pieces will be displayed at 11 North East Line (NEL) stations for six months starting early December.
Said Paul: “I am very happy to have won because I felt I did my best. I am glad that my art work is going to be placed at train stations for others to see. This is a wish come true for me.”
This is the first year that Moove Media organized this event to promote greater awareness of creative talents in Singapore and to encourage the young to pursue their creative endeavours. The first round of the competition, which was held from 24 October to 7 November, saw a total of 275 art pieces submitted by children, aged four to 12 years old. Of these, 20 art pieces that were shortlisted were displayed on 20 ComfortDelGro taxis. These kids went through two rounds of drawing, culminating in the finale which took place last Friday, 21 Nov at SBS Transit’s Downtown station
The winners’ artwork would be displayed across designated media spaces across North East Line (NEL) stations as well on 20 CityCab Taxis.
