Welcome to @dLib Online!
Let’s get the ball rolling. Today, we would like to introduce the people from @dLib’s Editorial Team.
The Bare Facts
Ms VALERIE TREVOR, the BusinessWoman
EDITORIAL PUBLISHER & PUBLIC RELATIONS PRACTITIONER
An experienced Broadcast, Magazine and Newspaper Journalist/Editor with over 25 years’ experience, Valerie Trevor is a communications specialist trained in business writing, advertising copywork,
conceptual design and print production. With a strong prior employment portfolio – Singapore Broadcasting Corporation, MPH Magazines and The Straits Times – her forte includes producing Coffee Table Books, Annual Reports, Corporate Brochures, Trade/Consumer/Corporate Newsletters, Magazines and Manuscript Writing, providing complete one-stop Editorial and Production Services.
Personally, a strong journalistic background in handling newspaper and magazine press for The Straits Times and MPH Magazines has made her a pretty experienced publisher of magazines, newsletters and
books. And many years of ‘live’ broadcasting experience – in both broadcast radio and television media – under the MediaCorp Group has developed, shaped and sharpened her human relations and PR skills.
Valerie Trevor (fun-loving and quirky!)
Val, as she is known to her friends and business clients, is a passionate worship singer, versatile writer, active ‘hands-on’ publisher in the media industry and a Mac gamer who adores all gadgets and gizmos that bear the ‘Apple’ name – quite a strange combination, but nonetheless stands out from the crowd with her unique hair concoctions. Loves God and being different in every way –“the norm is so static and downright boring! “Hey, I offer no apologies for being different!”

‘Jaded’ Allan Lee, Assistant Director, Gleamedia
A man of few words in describing himself, but a passionate writer nonetheless, this dedicated OOH advocate has travelled to 19 countries, speaks 7 languages, works 96 hours a week, consumes 6 meals a day (and still has a great athletic bod), writes 3 blogs, won TOTO many times (so owes The Editor a few treats!) and has 0 Friends (not so sure about this part, cause he’s a really friendly good-looking guy, so he must have a few potential girlfriends at least!). Very much a strategist with ‘cool ideas’ Allan is a self-driven man.

Raymond Ng, MD, Saffron Hill Research
He’s known to have lengthy coffee meetings with clients in cool places like Dome Cafe. Does he ever go to the office? You’ll have to ask him yourself. “I don’t think I can deny being a workaholic. Especially when every quirky test on the subject classifies me as one!”
But these days, he tries to have as much leisure time as possible. “There are just too many books to read, too many web pages to visit, too many applications to try out, too many countries and friends to visit, and of course, my beloved Nintendo Wii (and those damn Raving Rabbids!)”
“Also trying very hard to get back to playing tennis (as it should be played, instead of merely improving my ball-picking skills). Then there is the new kit from Berlitz that is supposed to teach me Spanish”
This is about as relaxed as he gets. Nothing like 10 degrees weather in Tokyo (ideal leisure trip!) and an ice cold beer in hand. Enuff said!

Dinesh Singh, Sales Director, Duck & Hippo Leisure Group
Now officially a ‘duckie’, Dinesh’s latest challenge involves boosting
sales figures for Singapore’s tourism market. His other challenge is
embracing the new title of ‘MM’ – he’s now a married man!
Dinesh is still very much a party animal, always ready with a joke to
tell, a drink in hand and a warm welcoming smile. (his favourite
drinking hole is the new Bukit Timah Guild House). An avid golfer, he
tees off the stress whenever he can. A self-confessed foodie, you’ll
surely find him on a Friday afternoon at Race Course Road enjoying his
mouth-watering South Indian cuisine, leaving him with serious heartburn
(poor colleagues)!

James Chen, Marketing Manager at IIR Exhibitions, part of Informa Plc.
Armed with a Masters of Mass Communication from Nanyang Technological University, James Chen writes with a passion. No writer’s block for him, maybe because this swinging bachelor plays serious games of tennis and squash on a regular basis to drive out stress. An adventurous eater (serve him anything and he’ll try it once!) who believes in all things beautiful (humans included) and likes his glass of Ice Wine. He enjoys playing the game ‘Football Manager.’ Being a closet legal eagle, James enjoys the drama ‘Boston Legal’.
