MediaCorp marked a milestone with the Foundation Stone laying ceremony for the new campus building at Mediapolis@one-north which will be opened in 2015. The new, iconic campus, designed by world renowned architects Maki and Associates and DP Architects, will feature open, collaborative spaces and signify a new approach to content creation for the future.
The ceremony was watched by MediaCorp staff via a “live” link to its current Caldecott Campus, and attended by MediaCorp Chairman Teo Ming Kian, Chief Financial Officer Yeo Mui Sung, Kajima Vice Managing Director Shinoda, and DPA Associate Director, Tan Jiann Woei. Speaking later, Mr Teo said the ceremony “represents a milestone closer to realising our vision of a campus that enables MediaCorp to better meet its mission of engaging, entertaining and enriching our audiences by harnessing the power of creativity of our people, and that Singaporeans would be proud of to call their own and encouraged to co-create content for our multiple platforms.”
Soon to be home to 2,800 staff, the new campus will include state of the art facilities,
• The 1,600 seat Broadcast Performance Arts Theatre, the Broadcast Centre and MediaCorp Corporate Offices
